Content Attributes are used to control certain HTML elements on a page. They can also be used to organize pages in the back office as well as your storefront.
Content Attributes consist of the following sections:
Details:
Name | This is the internal name of the attribute. This name will not appear in the storefront. |
Status | This is the current status of the attribute. The status can be Active, Inactive and Archived. |
Display Name | This is the external name of the attribute. This name will appear in the storefront. |
Type | This is the attribute type. The types available are drop down, checkbox, small text area, large text area, media and date. |
Show On Website (FLEX) | This option when selected controls whether or not this attribute will show up in your storefront. |
Required | This option will make the attribute required to be filled out with data in order to save it. |
Slug | This is the internal alpha-numeric data point that gets created when you create the attribute for the very first time. This can them be used as part of a theme and a .flex file. |
Show On Non-Template Pages | This option allows you to use this attribute on pages that are not templates. This attribute will appear if this option is selected when creating Non-template Type pages. |
Attribute Order | This field requires a number. This number will correlate to the order of the attribute. For example, a 6 will make this attribute show up before any attributes with a 7 or higher. If blank, it is set to 0 by default. |
Attribute Values:
Attribute Values will appear when selecting either Drop Down or Checkbox Attribute Types. The section consists of the following fields:
Name | This is the name of the value that will appear in the drop down menu. |
Status | This is the current status of the value. The status can be Active, Inactive or Archived. |
Order By | This is the sequence of how the value appears in the drop down or the checkbox area. It needs to be a numeric value usually starting with 1 and ascending to a higher value. |
File Upload Section:
File Upload | This section displays all files that have been associated to this category. |
Upload Files Button | This button is used to upload one or multiple files to the category from your computer. |
Row level Colorbox | If you click on each file that has been uploaded it will open a dialogue window to allow you to make changes to the file name, to display the file in the customer portal and view the full path URL. |
File Name | The name of the file |
File URL | The full path URL of the file. |
History Section:
User | This column indicates which user made the change to this Category. |
Action | This column indicates what was done. |
Modified On | This column indicates when the change occurred. |
